It was a Friday afternoon when, “Come on Keaton! We’re going to miss it!” shouted Dad. “This is the last chair up the mountain.” “I’m coming! I’m coming!” 
We made it to the last chair. “I love riding the chairlift.” 
“What's that sound?” 
“Look! It’s a waterfall, but where is the water coming from?” 
“It’s coming from .................!"

Keaton Scores A Try

We are learning to use present participles in our writing.
Dodging through Waipa, Hunter ran with the ball. Waiting for him to pass the ball to me, I  ran next to him. Smack! He threw the ball. I caught it. I clenched on tightly.

I turned to face the try line. It was beckoning me to score a try. I sped down to the try line, darting through Waipa’s team. My heart was pounding as fast as the pistons from a monster racer. My breath was disappearing dangerously and I needed to stop and have a breather but, if I did, I would get touched and wouldn’t get the try. 
I kept going and drifted through  with the ball still clenched in my hands and scored.

“We won We won!” We all shouted in each other’s faces. We all went and made a circle and cheered for Waipa.

It was a cold Friday morning.

I saw the Hamilton Hakarimata path dusted with frost. I saw three baby tui cuddling up with their mother. I was jogging up the Hakarimata steps.

yesterday it was swimming sports. we were working for about 10 minutes we all went as a grope. 
wen we got there we all got changed into our swimming,togs we got in our house grope then we waited til we cod get in the water then miss Witfaid statid awor day we strtide with a prer. thay cold out the forst rasis I dint wont to do the forst y rasis so I watid and watid and watid then I had a bit of morning tiye then it wos my ras I got in the piool I swam and swam as fast as I cod I got to the finish lin I cam 4th I worckt sokingwet bak to msete in
